Rahul meets President, says farmers will not cease protest – Information As we speak

New Delhi: Delhi Police at present took Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and others into custody because the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress delegation was marching to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to submit a memorandum of two crore signatures towards the Centre’s farm reform legal guidelines.

Talking to the media, Rahul stated there was ‘no democracy; in India and people who stood up towards the PM have been labelled terrorists, ‘even when it have been (RSS chief) Mohan Bhagwat’.

He additionally demanded the repeal of the farm legal guidelines, calling them a results of the federal government appeasing crony capitalists.

‘PM Modi is earning profits for the crony capitalists. Whoever will attempt to stand towards him can be referred to as a terrorist – be it farmers, labourers and even Mohan Bhagwat,’ he stated, referring to the chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the BJP’s ideological mentor.

He added: ‘The Opposition stands with farmers. The protesting farmers won’t cease the protest until the legal guidelines are repealed.’

In the meantime, the Rashtrapati Bhavan tweeted, ‘A delegation from the Indian Nationwide Congress comprising Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, Shri Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and Shri Rahul Gandhi referred to as on President Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.’
